The following are spoilers for Thursday’s (November 30) episode of Neighbours, which can be streamed on Amazon Freevee right now.
The beloved Australian soap opera’s revival series is a gift that never stops, and its most recent installment welcomes back another beloved character!
For the first time in nearly 11 years, Summer Hoyland visited Ramsay Street on Thursday, with actress Jordy Lucas playing her well-known part again.
Jackie Woodburne’s character, Susan Kennedy, was overcome with emotion at seeing her again.
But Susan soon began to wonder whether there was more to Summer’s return than first glance, and she began to question her about her motivations for stopping by.
Unable to maintain her silence, podcaster Summer admitted that Hannah Monson’s character Nicolette Stone had approached her to cover Erinsborough High’s closure.
As viewers of the serial drama are aware, Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), who plans to construct a retirement community on the land that developers sold to Terese, is going to close the school.
The principal of the school, Jane Harris (Annie Jones), hasn’t been too fond of Terese’s ambitions, and a rivalry has grown between the two neighbours.
Since Jane has been depressed since learning about the school shutting, Nicolette is determined to support her and enlists Wendy Rodwell’s (Candice Leask) assistance in planning a protest.
Susan isn’t sure if it’s the proper decision to have Summer cover the event because she is aware that a demonstration like this may go horribly wrong.
Will this turn out to be the case, though? All we can do is wait and see.
As fans may remember, Summer made her Neighbours début back in 2002. Marissa Siketa, an actor, played the character for five years until leaving in 2007.
2009 saw the return of the character, and Jordy assumed the role, portraying Summer until 2013.
