Some Australian viewers may choose to avoid Neighbours spoilers from Thursday’s episode in the UK (February 3).
Leo Tanaka of Neighbours has agreed to put his grudge against Terese Willis for Britney Barnes’ death to rest.
After his on-again, off-again girlfriend died in the Flamingo Bar disaster, Leo has been seeking for someone to blame.
After learning that Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) had delayed raising the alarm on the night of the terrible storm, Leo confronted her angrily last week.
He also pondered filing a lawsuit, believing that someone should be held accountable for what had happened to Britney.
In Thursday’s Channel 5 broadcast, Leo’s attitude began to shift after he had time to dwell on recent events and realised that Terese was not to blame.
“Just forget all that legal crap I spoke about yesterday,” Leo advised Terese as they caught up at the Lassiters complex. I shouldn’t have reacted in such a way.
“It was unjust and unwarranted.” “Please accept my sincere apologies.”
Terese accepted the apology, but quickly moved on to another critical issue: Leo’s current attitude toward infant Abigail.
Leo has been keeping his distance from Abigail ever since she fell off the sofa while in his care last week.
Terese recognised that Leo seemed to be feeling guilty and tried to get him to move on from what had happened.
Sadly, this seemed easier said than done, and even a fishing trip with some of the Ramsay Street residents wasn’t enough to cheer him up.
Leo will urge his brother David (Takaya Honda) and brother-in-law Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) to assume full custody of Abigail in the next scenes.
“Aaron is definitely keen to take on Abigail,” Tim Kano, who plays Leo, recently told Digital Spy. When they assumed Abigail was their daughter, they’d already built a deep attachment.
“However, I’m aware that David, Chloe, and a number of other people believe Leo is making a mistake. They try to persuade him that keeping her on is the better option.”
