Due to COVID-19 constraints, Sophie Dillman has declared her plans to reconcile with her family after a year apart.
As the state borders between NSW and Queensland reopen on Monday, the Home and Away actress, 28, will spend Christmas with her loved ones.
Sophie told The Daily Telegraph, “It’s almost been a year now, which is pretty awful.”
‘I miss them a lot, and not being able to see them face to face has been quite difficult. ‘As a result, I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with them.’
Sophie revealed that she and her partner Patrick O’Connor were planning to drive to Brisbane for the holidays.
‘I’ll drive up in my tiny Mazda and Paddy’ll drive up in his vehicle, and we’ll spend the holidays with our families in Brisbane and possibly up at Noosa,’ she added.
Since 2017, Sophie has played Ziggy Astoni on Home and Away.
‘I have extremely awful pain days where I have to take a lot of medicine and can’t accomplish a lot,’ she told The Daily Telegraph of her fight with endometriosis.
‘I have to wander around in my outfit with a hot water bottle,’ she said.
Sophie has enlisted the services of a gynaecologist, a physiotherapist, and a naturopath to help her manage with her illness.
She claimed she became an Endometriosis Australia ambassador when she was in the most pain.
‘I contacted them during a really difficult period in my life, when I was in a lot of agony on a daily basis,’ she explained.
