Prior to the return of the soap opera Neighbours later this year, actors Candice Leask and Lloyd Will teased a dramatic plot for the Rodwell family.
In an on-set video shared to the show’s Instagram account, the actors—who play Wendy and Andrew Rodwell, respectively—teased a plot for the family.
We are ecstatic to be back on set for one of our first scenes at the Rodwell mansion. I’m so excited to share it everything with you when we get home,” Lloyd said.
Candice continued, “I am so, so happy to be here with Lloyd today. All we can say is that the Rodwells are returning with a bang because so many people are working around us. We’ll talk soon.
Emerald Chan, who will continue to play Sadie Rodwell, and Candice and Lloyd were also revealed as returning cast members last month.
The OC alum Mischa Barton will be one of the new cast members. She will be a new addition to the Australian soap opera in the role of Reece, an American whose presence in Erinsborough is “far from what it appears to be.”
When she joined the soap opera, Barton said, “I’m pleased to be part of this famous show’s next chapter and I am particularly looking forward to being back in Australia, a place I know and love.
The notion of a Hollywood star moving into Ramsay Street made producer Jason Herbison giddy. He continued, “We are beyond happy to have an actor of Mischa’s calibre join us for the beginning of this exciting new chapter.
“Mischa’s character has instant presence and is surprising and exciting. Both domestically and overseas, our devoted viewers are going to adore her.
