Neighbours star Tim Robards breaks silence on Pierce Greyson return

Neighbours’ On his return, Tim Robards has broken his silence.

After 18 months away from the soap, it was announced last month that the star would be returning as Pierce Grayson.

Neighbours has now verified the rumour, stating that the character will return for a guest appearance on the show next month, beginning May 20.

“To be asked back to reprise my part as the original Pierce Greyson was an amazing honour!” Tim remarked. “Due to COVID state boundary constraints, I had to leave and be replaced in 2020 for what should have been my final month of filming.”

“I’m ecstatic and glad to be reunited with the entire crew, whom I never had the opportunity to say goodbye to.” It’s really a joy to be a part of the programme one final time now that it’s coming to an end.”

Due to increasing travel restrictions in Australia and the necessity to be with his wife in Sydney before the birth of their first child, Tim had to leave the role earlier than intended in 2020, with Don Hany temporarily recast in the role for his final scenes.

Pierce and Lisa Rowsthorn (Jane Allsop) will return as part of a major storyline, according to a source close to the show, with their son Hendrix (Ben Turland) and Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) anticipated to play pivotal roles.

Producer Kate Kendall tagged Tim in a post after filming special scenes in Sydney, revealing Tim’s homecoming.
