In Neighbours, David (Takaya Honda) was understandably shaken when he discovered the message stating, “I know what you did,” in his office.
The note’s mysterious character has worked in his favour – What does this imply? What do they know, exactly? David is confident that he understands what they’re talking about, and it’s not because he forgot to recycle his sandwich packet.
He confides his anxieties in Freya (Phoebe Roberts), who receives an unexpected confession from him: she reluctantly acknowledges that she may have given Emma grounds to suspect them. What the hell is going on?! Freya had been putting so much pressure on David to keep their secret hidden, and then she has the guts to reveal it herself. As David becomes increasingly agitated, Freya urgently tries to persuade him that everything will be alright. But how can she be so sure when someone is aware of their horrible secret?
Furthermore, David believes he can no longer rely on Freya. He now feels much more alone than before, while Freya is also thrown off and vents her frustrations on Levi, who is taken aback (Richie Morris).
David is filled with remorse and believes the note is a hint that he needs to inform someone. But before he can finish his sentence, he’s hit with another, this time addressing his family. Freya resolves that enough is enough and that she will deal with this before David spills their cover. What does she have up her sleeve?
David also makes the decision to take matters into his own hands, which he may or may not regret. He deduces that Dean is his extortionist and confronts him. Dean appears to be utterly unaware of what is going on, much to David’s amazement. But hasn’t David just opened yet another can of worms? Freya leads him into the bush to look for the OPA, but while all of this is going on, Aaron has picked up on his husband’s strange aura and wants to know more. Is he going to find out the truth?
Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, April 4th.
