Next week on Neighbours in the UK, Paul discovers that Montana has been falsifying records for years, and it will have ramifications for Terese, Leo, and the Kennedy family.
These scenes will premiere in the United Kingdom on Monday, April 11th, and in Australia on Wednesday, May 4th.
Since her arrival in Erinsborough a few weeks ago, Montana Marcel (Tammin Sursok) has certainly ruffled a few feathers.
Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) and Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) have been wooing her to throw one of her famous Fashion Week events in Melbourne, and they’ve been wooing her to host it at Lassiters and the Leo’s (Tim Kano) vineyard. However, she was underwhelmed by their efforts – which were hampered by Mick’s (Joel Creasey) sabotage – and it needed Leo’s charisma, excellent looks, and other skills to win her over.
The event’s preparations are now in full swing. There’s a lot to organise: colour schemes, models, venues, and stage designs, and everyone on Ramsay Street ends up contributing in.
Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) first stated that he would stay away from the situation, putting his trust in Terese and Chloe to handle it. Recent episodes, on the other hand, have shown him wine and dine Montana at the vineyard, with each of them being equally pleased by the other’s commercial acumen.
Paul is stunned when he sees Leo and Montana kissing at the vineyard this week (UK: Wednesday 6th April / Aus: Thursday 28th April), and his respect for the fashion entrepreneur disappears.
He leaps to the erroneous judgement about them after hearing that Montana propositioned Leo, and his actions end up jeopardising Lassiters’ hosting of the event. Montana accuses him of exploiting his son, and she cancels the event, threatening the hotel with legal action.
Thankfully, Terese scrambles to save the event, and everything is back on track – but Paul’s accusations only serve to pull Montana and Leo closer together, and it appears that they are developing a romantic relationship.
Then, starting next week (UK: Wednesday 13th April / Australia: Monday 9th May), Paul contemplates investing in Montana’s new cosmetics line, which Karl also recently chose to invest in. However, considering the way she treated Leo, he is still wary of her and wants to learn more about her before deciding whether or not to give her his money.
He hires private eye John Wong (Harry Tseng) to investigate her, and what he discovers will have ramifications for a lot of Ramsay Street regulars.
Karl, who goes against Susan’s wishes and arrives in Montana with a $20,000 check, may be too late. He’s ecstatic about the investment; it’s given him a sense of financial accomplishment and convinced him that he’ll be able to provide Susan with the retirement she deserves. He holds Susan’s news to himself, waiting for the ideal moment…
But, in actuality, he’s made a terrible blunder, as John Wong makes a startling discovery!
Montana has been cheating on her taxes for years, and the IRS has finally begun to investigate her. She’s on the verge of financial ruin.
Montana is scared that Paul would cancel Fashion Week, further jeopardising her money, but Paul has a solution for her. He still wants her to host the event, but he wants her to run up huge bills so Terese will be the one to blame if it all goes wrong.
He also has one more demand: she must cease her relationship with Leo.
Montana is backed into a corner and has no choice but to comply with his demands. Leo is taken aback by the breakup, and Terese is soon troubled by the rising costs.
Paul Robinson has regained command!
