After wrapping filming as his renowned soap character Karl Kennedy, Alan Fletcher has revealed his next endeavour.
With Neighbours set to end its 37-year run this summer, Alan has announced that he will be returning to the UK in September to do a series of live events commemorating his 28 years as Karl on Ramsay Street.
The Doctor Will See You Now is characterised as “an interview-style show that will certainly go off-script,” using Neighbours-themed video clips and music.
Alan will reflect on his time on Neighbours and share fascinating insights into his life and career throughout the show, which has been described as “funny, brilliant, heart-warming, and full of minutiae about the history of one of the biggest stars in soap.”
“In my 43 years as an actor, I’ve appeared in hundreds of theatrical performances, but this is the first time I’ll leave myself bare in front of an audience,” Alan explained. “In an amusing and fun way, I want to give people a real and truthful look into my life on Neighbours.”
Each concert will also include a Q&A period where fans can ask the actor their burning questions, as well as a limited number of meet and greet tickets for each venue.
Throughout September, The Doctor Will See You Now will perform in Glasgow, Newcastle, Cottingham, Edinburgh, Doncaster, Worthing, Crickhowell, Stratford, London, and Milton Keynes.

With the final episodes of Neighbours about to air in just a few months, Alan has teased that there has been so much secrecy around the show’s final episodes that he has no idea what will happen.
“The problem is… I can’t tell you something about which I am unaware. That last episode’s ink is still drying; they waited as long as they could to compose it because they didn’t know who would return… and now they’re keeping it so secret “he stated
“I’m not sure when I’ll find out because it’s such top-secret information. So, three weeks before the event, my script arrives in my mailbox.”
What we do know is that around 20 legendary characters from the soap’s past will be returning, including Charlene Mitchell (Kylie Minogue) and Scott Robinson (Jason Donovan).
