Next week, viewers of Neighbours may anticipate more hostilities between Nicolette Stone and Aaron Brennan.
Aaron returns to Ramsay Street after a brief hiatus and finds it difficult to reconcile with Nicolette.
Aaron abruptly left Erinsborough last week due to his ongoing struggles after his husband David Tanaka passed away.
Aaron’s leaving shocked Nicolette since she knew she would be left to take care of their daughter Isla alone.
This Thursday, February 29, marks Aaron’s return to the Street. He apologises to Nicolette for abandoning her.
For Isla’s sake, the two decide to go forward and present a united front, but it doesn’t take long to identify a new cause of stress.
Isla’s persistent requests to see her grandfather Paul Robinson worry Aaron and Nicolette.
Aaron can’t forgive the businessman for his unintentional part in David’s demise, and he’s determined that Paul and Isla should never interact again.
Aaron and Nicolette make the decision to consult with local physician Remi Varga-Murphy regarding Isla.
In the meantime, Paul is obsessed with his family after his ex-wife Terese Willis implies that they might be able to forgive him in the future.
This glimmer of hope cheers Paul, but Chelsea Murphy, his new girlfriend, is envious that he isn’t spending more time with her.
Chelsea asks Aaron and Nicolette if they would consider letting Paul visit Isla in an uncommonly altruistic gesture. Nicolette and Aaron both say no to the proposal.
Afterwards, however, Remi’s suggestion that Isla is eager to see Paul because she identifies him with David gives Nicolette pause for thinking.
As Nicolette is ready to take matters into her own hands, she begins to think that seeing Paul might be in Isla’s best interests, even if it means risking a confrontation with Aaron.
These scenes from Neighbours air on Monday, March 4.
