Sam Frost, who co-stars with Nicholas Cartwright on Home and Away, has replied to rumours of an off-screen romance.
Fans began to believe the two actors were more than pals after images of them together appeared to show that their characters’ on-screen relationship had spilled over into real life.
On the long-running Australian soap, Jasmine Delaney plays Jasmine Delaney and Sergeant Constable Cash Newman plays Sergeant Constable Cash Newman.
With a message to her over half-million Instagram followers, Frost has put an end to the rumours that the two are dating.

Frost captioned a series of photos of the two smiling while enjoying a drink: “I mean, we’re basically the same guy. Except that I’m a lot funnier.”
One fan wondered in the comments section whether they were dating, prompting the actress to react emphatically: “Nope… sadly for Nic.”
She also made a change to the caption, which now reads: “This isn’t my partner. This is my on-screen companion on H&A, who is a great friend of mine. However, I agree that we are lovely. I’m fortunate to work with such a lovely individual who is constantly on my side.”

Fans, on the other hand, think the pair’s images are rather cosy, with some claiming they appear more like a couple than pals. Viewers also expressed optimism that “one day” the two will “form a stunning handsome couple.”
Nothing appeared to stop viewers from guessing that Cash and Jasmine’s romance will last, with one commenting, “This better be her happy ending.”
Another person stated: “One of my favourite characters is Jasmine. She deserves a happy ending; that girl has gone through a lot “relating to Jasmine’s prior unsatisfactory romantic relationships.

Frost was recently embroiled in controversy after it was revealed that she will be temporarily written off since she had not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19. Frost had previously stated in an Instagram video from October that she would not be getting the jab.
However, because Channel 7 required all cast and crew members to be vaccinated, her character was written out for a brief time until she was double-vaccinated.
