Martha Stewart of Home and Away has intimated that she could decline her daughter Roo’s life-saving offer.
Martha (Belinda Giblin) and Roo (Georgie Parker) are at the centre of an emotive new tale now airing on Australian television.
Martha is in desperate need of a new kidney after experiencing difficulties after the recent poisonous gas assault at Salt.
The Stewart family battled in Thursday’s programmes on Channel 7 in Australia (November 18), as Martha insisted on preparing her own funeral in order to prepare for the worst.

When Martha realised that her son Kieran was not a match for a transplant, there was optimism on the horizon when Roo found out that she was.
Roo viewed the news as a miracle for her mother and had no reservations about undergoing the procedure as soon as feasible.
However, a concerned Martha made it clear to her husband Alf (Ray Meagher) at a private time that she would have the last say.
Martha, concerned about the dangers, urged her husband: “I don’t know how I can let her give up so much for something so insecure. Alf, I’m not sure I can let her do this. I believe I will decline.”

Later, when they were back at home, Alf advised Roo not to be too gung-ho about the transplant.
Alf said, implying Martha’s scepticism: “It isn’t entirely up to you. Other others are involved as well. And the way you’re saying right now makes me believe you haven’t given it any thought.”
Is Roo in for a rude awakening when she learns of Martha’s reservations?
These sequences will run on Channel 5 in the UK early next year as part of Home and Away.
