The Australian episodes of Home and Away airing this week feature some heartbreaking scenes starring Justin Morgan.
In a terrifying kidnapping incident involving Justin and his companion Leah Patterson-Baker, they were brought to an abandoned warehouse and detained there without access to food or water. When Justin attempted to flee, he was ensnared beneath a weight of metal.
According to TV Week, he will be fighting for his life in the hospital during this week’s scenes, but Dr. Bree informs Leah that it’s doubtful he will survive because his heart isn’t strong enough.
After Leah proposed to Justin during the captivity, Theo tries to cheer her up by discussing her wedding arrangements. Justin’s family is contacted and requested to attend and say their final goodbyes.
When the police try to talk to Leah about what happened, she initially says no. However, she eventually gives in because the abductors are still at large.
She is upset to discover Justin isn’t where she left him when she gets back from the police station. She eventually finds out that he was only taken for some scans, but her intense response shows how deeply this experience has affected her. The idea of losing Justin permanently causes her to cry as she collapses into Alf’s arms.
“[The trauma] hits her really hard; she’s devastated,” Ada Nicodemou, who plays Leah, said. She is dependent on him for survival. She is a total mess.
Does the soap opera truly intend to terminate one of its most prominent characters?
