Former stars Bob Morley and Eliza Taylor of Home and Away and Neighbours have announced they are expecting a child.
On Tuesday, the Australian stars revealed their tiny family will be welcoming a new addition in 2022, after getting their start on the respective dramas.
The couple shared their happy news on Instagram with a shot of their feet in matching “Papa Bear” and “Mama Bear” slippers, with a little pair of “Baby Bear” booties to the side.
“Preparing for one of the most important jobs in history. We can’t wait to fill those big little shoes!” The photo was captioned by Bob.
“Our route to pregnancy was not always smooth sailing,” Eliza said on her own profile, “but we are ecstatic to announce our little bundle is officially on the way 🥳💕”
Friends and family congratulated the soon-to-be parents, but some observant Instagram users detected a heartbreaking detail in Eliza’s announcement.
She mentioned that their pregnancy journey wasn’t “easy sailing,” alluding to her miscarriage in 2019.
Bob and Eliza confessed they had lost a pregnancy shortly after they married the previous year at a convention in Vancouver in February 2020.
Though the loss was sad, the couple said they had plans to attempt to have a family again. They were filming The 100 at the time.
In honour of his and Eliza’s unborn kid, Bob also announced that he had received a tattoo.
Now, the couple is overjoyed to finally reveal that they’re expecting their second child, though they’ve chosen not to reveal how far along the pregnancy is.
Despite the fact that the couple began their careers as Australian soap performers (Bob on Home And Away, Eliza on Neighbours), they went on to achieve international renown after quitting the series.
For a short period, they worked in the same circles, but it wasn’t until they were both cast in the CW sci-fi drama The 100 that the couple met and fell in love – just like their characters.
Bob and Eliza sealed the knot on May 5, 2019, and announced it a month later, much to the delight of their admirers.
“I am extremely proud of my spouse, his guts, vulnerability, and determination… (With this man, I won the life lottery!)” Eliza wrote a few weeks after their wedding on Instagram.
“So… as he usually says so beautifully, be well and be kind to one another – it’s the most important thing in the world ❤️”
Bob is now starring in the Binge series Love Me, but we think he’ll enjoy parenting even more than his acting credits.
