EastEnders fans are convinced a familiar face is returning to Walford as the past catches up with one local resident
EastEnders viewers are convinced a former Walford resident is set to make a comeback, and the character will be given a fresh face.
As devotees of the BBC soap will recall, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) returned last year after her romance with Spencer Moon (Christopher Parker) fell apart while they were residing in Australia.
Vicki wasn’t by herself, as she had brought along a new partner, Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw), accompanied by his rebellious teenage son, Joel (Max Murray).
Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) quickly disclosed that Vicki had left Spencer heartbroken, with him still recovering from her fresh engagement.
Last month, Vicki’s infidelity with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) came to light at her nuptials to Ross, and Alfie couldn’t resist making a remark about her former romance.
Alfie also recently departed the Square to see his younger sibling, Spencer, who was still battling to move past Vicki’s treachery.
Spencer was portrayed by Christopher Parker, who featured in the BBC drama from 2002 to 2005, reports OK!.
He was central to numerous major plotlines during his stint, from impregnating Vicki (then Scarlett Alice Johnson) following a brief encounter to facing blackmail from Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
Spencer departed off-screen, with his relatives revealing he’d relocated to Australia to stay with his second cousin.
Despite his departure 21 years ago, he remains a topic of conversation more than two decades on, and supporters believe the character is being primed for a comeback – but are certain he’ll be recast.

One EastEnders fan took to Reddit, stating: “Spencer Moon- Alfie’s mentioned him a few times recently, and he’s also got ties to the square with Vicki and Ross now. Wadey’s also teased he wants to pad the Moon family unit out so it’s a strong possibility.”
Another suggested: “A Spencer recast seems inevitable”, while a third added: “I’m really surprised it hasn’t happened already.”
“Spencer, Spencer, Spencer, Spencer, Spencer! I want that Spencer. They will absolutely have to recast, because the OG is now a solicitor, but I will never understand why they invented the character of Ross instead of introducing a new Spencer along with a new Vicky”, one soap enthusiast explained.
“Spencer most definitely will come back with a new head, and potentially Cindy Jr. as well”, another chimed in.
