Photos and spoilers for episodes running in early to mid-March, including the historic 9000th episode, have been made public by Neighbours.
Fans were outraged when Neighbours’ termination was revealed in February 2022. Adding to our sadness that our excursions to Erinsborough would soon come to an end, the news meant that the show would never air nine thousand episodes.
Only 97 episodes remained till it finished on Episode 8903, a momentous occasion.

Now that the show has been picked up by Amazon Freevee, it is almost certain to accomplish that milestone as it will be back on screens worldwide starting in September 2023.
We asked Stefan Dennis and Annie Jones what they would want to see in the 9000th episode when we visited with them just before the new episodes aired on Freevee. “It could be anything, I’ll blow something up,” said Stefan.
Paul will play a big part in the 9000th episode as his new love interest Chelsea (Viva Bianca) is taken on a “Paul Robinson’s Greatest Hits tour,” even though the 2004 season finale may not show Paul repeating his deeds of burning down Lassiters.

There’s no news yet on whether this will be a special look back at Paul’s 38 years on the show, or merely a voyage through some of his more recent devious acts, given the show’s producers haven’t released any images from the “Greatest Hits tour.”
Three episodes later, there will be another significant event. Neighbours has been counting its episodes since its comeback in two ways: starting at 1 for the first episode of “The Next Chapter,” which picks up where the first series left off, taking us into the 9000s.
The 100th episode of the resurrected series will take place three episodes after the 9000th, and in this one, Melanie (Lucinda Cowden), Toadie (Ryan Moloney), Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou), and Paul (Stefan Dennis) will see a significant development in their ongoing plot arc as “Toadie’s commitment wavers.”

at this week’s episodes, Terese makes the decision to visit her mourning ex-husband at his Lassiters penthouse—a decision she conceals from her new spouse. This starts a chain of events that eventually result in what happens to Toadie in episode 100.
In the back garden at No. 28, photos from the episode depict Toadie and Melanie getting far too close for comfort. Toadie even seems to lean in for a kiss, just 99 episodes after he married Terese.

Is Toadie going to end his most recent marriage for good, or will he be able to resist temptation?
The next week, the people of Erinsborough get together for an occasion known as the “Lassiters Longest Lie-In,” where they participate in a charitable sleepout within the Lassiters complex.

Tensions quickly rise as Toadie and Terese are forced to sleep just one mattress over from Melanie, as seen in event photos.

Then, “the reveal at the Lie-in leads to major consequences for those involved,” as a significant revelation surfaces.
Images from the episode that aired on March 13th seem to show Nell spending time with Terese in a room at the Lassiters Hotel, with Terese’s well-known leather jacket propped up on the bed.
Does Terese appear to have moved out of No. 22 following the shocking disclosure, or is she just visiting the hotel for business purposes?
“Toadie struggle with his new reality” is a scene from the same episode.
Guy Pearce’s character Mike Young “has an update” somewhere. Mike, the fiancé of Jane (Annie Jones), has been riding motorcycles throughout the United Kingdom for the past few months after starting a work as a motorbike tour guide.
In July 2022, the producers of Neighbours brought back childhood sweethearts Jane and Mike for the then-final episodes. However, when the show was renewed by Amazon, they found themselves in a bind as they had to figure out how to keep the pair together without Hollywood actor Guy Pearce returning to the cast full-time.
Guy and Annie got back together to shoot several sequences for the resurrected programme, in which their characters travelled to the UK and became engaged.
as then, Mike has been spotted on multiple video calls, and as Jane has been occupied with the story of Erinsborough High’s closure, they have been forced to maintain a long-distance romance.
Will Mike eventually make his way back to Erinsborough after his “update,” or will his absence from the programme be extended further? It sounds like bad news because in the same episode, Jane is seen fighting to keep her family together.
March sees the addition of a fourth resident to the Rodwell residence on Ramsay Street.
Felix, the brother of Andrew (Lloyd Will), plays James Beaufort. He first appears in the show in late February, but he moves in with the Rodwells at No. 26 in early March after being “confronted by a terrifying possibility.”

He is “drawn to JJ (Riley Bryant), despite his best efforts,” as we witness in later episodes, and JJ subsequently “draws on Felix’s advice.”

In the first episode of the resurrected programme, JJ, his brother Dex (Marley Williams), and his mothers Remi (Naomi Rukavina) and Cara (Sara West) relocated onto Ramsay Street. This was supposed to be a temporary move until they arranged more permanent housing.
It was soon discovered that JJ had planned the brief visit on Ramsay Street after reading a note in Cara’s friend Phillipa’s diary implying that Andrew Rodwell might be his biological father.

JJ eventually revealed the information to the world after weeks of surveillance, but a later DNA test proved that Andrew wasn’t really his father.
Later, Andrew was shocked by what he read in Phillipa’s diary, but the plot has since been dropped.

Could the plot take a significant turn with the entrance of Andrew’s brother, who spends time with JJ right away?
As though Toadie didn’t already have enough on his plate, he gets into another terrible predicament in the middle of March when Hugo (Tanner Ellis-Anderson) is grabbed by a bunch of adolescents and thrown into the back of their car while Nell (Ayisha Salem-Towner) looks on in fear.
