Home and Away star’s wild Logies night confession

Lynne McGranger has shared a hilarious Logies story involving a fan who she left ‘gobsmacked.’

Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts on the popular serial opera Home and Away, has been a mainstay on our TV screens for more than 30 years.

It’s difficult to picture Summer Bay without Irene these days, whether Lynne, 70, is managing the diner, adopting foster children, or getting swept up in drama. She debuted as Irene in 1991.

Fortunately, Lynne has stated to TV Week that she has no intention of leaving the program anytime soon and that it has been a “exciting time” since learning that she and Irene were selected as the second-best Australian TV character of all time.

“It’s been an exciting time,” Lynne remarked of receiving nominations alongside Emily Symons and Ada Nicodemou from the cast. “We adored the enjoyable picture shoots and publicity events. Furthermore, we never engaged in competition. We always assumed that one of the other amazing women up for nomination would take home the prize! We were correct, too.”

After that, Lynne talked about one of her favorite Logies moments and related an experience that has stayed with her.

“When I got back to the hotel room, I realised I couldn’t unzip my dress,” she said. “I raced out into the corridor and knocked on the nearest door, which happened to be housekeeping. I was greeted by a gentleman whose face lit up and who said, ‘I know you!’

I answered, ‘Well, you’re going to get to know me much better. Would you kindly unzip me?’ He complied, and I quickly retreated inside my room, leaving the man somewhat stunned.”

Wearing clothing that is easy to get in and out of is Lynne’s top recommendation for attending the Logies, which she shared in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this year.

The seasoned actress claimed that she had to learn this lesson the hard way because it was difficult for her to use the restroom while she was attending the event in 2016 while wearing a blue Alin Le’ Kal gown.

She says, “I couldn’t get out of [that dress], so I almost got a UTI.” “I was unable to use the restroom for eight hours.

“It was unbelievable that I couldn’t get out
