Coronation Street star Rob Mallard backs possible future for Daniel and Daisy

Rob Mallard, who portrays Daniel Osbourne on Coronation Street, has endorsed a possible future for his character and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).

Daisy has intervened in the simmering drama between Max (Paddy Bever) and Daniel in an attempt to defuse recent tensions. The actor has spoken about his emotions for her and hinted at what the future may hold for them.

Rob stated, “He’s interested in her.” “However, due of the Alya and Ryan triangle, he’s suspicious of her.” He was set up to go to Oxford when he met Sinead, so he doesn’t want to do it again. He fell in very fast with Nicky, Bethany, and to some extent with Sinead.

“His life may have turned out quite differently if he hadn’t stayed with Sinead, which I believe is one of the reasons he decides to aid Summer over Max; he recognises that he can assist Summer in escaping Weatherfield.”

“I don’t believe he regrets any of his decisions,” he said, “but he recognises that his life could have turned out very differently if he had made a different decision there.”

However, now that Bertie is in the picture, the actor claims Daniel has no regrets, stating, “It’s not a regret, it’s simply an other timeline, we all have them, where one decision can change the path of your life.”

When asked how he’s adjusting to being a single dad, Daniel replied he’s doing “pretty well” since it’s a “piece of Sinead.”

“Bertie is important to him; he’s a living representation of her, therefore he takes his role as his father extremely seriously.”

In contrast to Sinead, the actor revealed why he was drawn to Daisy, despite their differences.

“He’s interested in Daisy’s feistiness, because Bethany and Sinead were both fairly quiet, never unpleasant, and never stretched their ambition, so he’s interested in that part of Daisy.” She’s not his style, though; she’s brunette, for one, and he’s had success with blondes in the past with Sinead, Bethany, and Nicky.

“She’s unusual, she’s not like the other ladies he’s met before, but she also terrifies him a little. He can see she’s calculated, yet he’s drawn to risk, and we’re all drawn to danger.”

In Daniel and Daisy’s case, it appears like their differences will work in their favour, with the star hinting: “Often, the pairings you don’t think will work out to be the greatest.

“People’s differences may be intriguing when they compliment one other. Their differences, rather than pushing them apart, I believe, compliment each other.

“Daniel nearly develops a spine as a result of her drive and cheekiness. He’s been quite obedient over the previous several years, and he needs a little excitement in his life, which Daisy surely provides “Rob admitted it.
