Neighbours’ final ever scenes ‘leaked’ as ending is ‘confirmed’

Since the news of Neighbours’ untimely cancellation came, viewers have speculated about the show’s final moments.

Following Channel 5’s decision to pull the show from their schedules, the Australian soap is slated to end later this year after production company Fremantle revealed that it has been unable to find another broadcast partner in the UK.

Filming for the final month-long on-air celebration has already begun, with the final episode set to air on August 1.

It’s no easy task to wrap up a 37-year-old show, especially when you consider the number of famous moments that have occurred in Ramsay Street throughout the years.

With a slew of fan favourites from every era of the serial drama due to return for the final episode, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen in the finale, let alone who will appear in the final moment!

However, a leaked script has been making the rounds, and rumour has it that it reveals who will appear in the last scene.

Warning: There are potential spoilers ahead, so if you don’t want to know how Neighbours will end, turn away now.

Are you still here? That’s OK.

According to Popbitch, Neighbours will end right as Charlene and Scott Robinson (Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan) return to Ramsay Street after a 30-year absence.

The couple is said to pull up in their automobile, exit, and take a look around before declaring, “We’re home.”

It’s important to note that this is unconfirmed because Neighbours sensibly keeps their cards close to its breast.

Furthermore, Popbitch speculates that the leaked script could be a ruse intended to fool viewers.

Meanwhile, ahead of the show’s finale, Kylie and Jason will reprise their legendary roles as Scott and Charlene.

According to a statement sent to Twitter on Sunday by soap boss Jason, the show is “thrilled” to be welcoming them back.

“It wouldn’t feel right to end the show without Scott and Charlene,” the executive producer said.

‘We are overjoyed that Jason and Kylie have returned home to play a pivotal role in the series finale…

‘For them, for us, and I’m sure for our viewers, it’s been an emotional experience.’

Herbison’s statements were posted alongside two photos that combined to produce a close-up photograph of a Neighbours script, complete with the show’s title, Scott and Charlene’s names, and the location of Ramsay Street.

These were the exact photos – one each – that Jason and Kylie had uploaded on Instagram hours before, sending fans into a frenzy as they verified the onscreen couple’s comeback.
