In Neighbours, Jane Harris (Annie Jones) was left gasping for air as Zara Zelwyn’s (Freya Van Dyke) antics reached new heights.
Since arriving on Ramsay Street last month, Zara has proven to be a very troublesome adolescent, refusing to do what she’s told and lying at every turn.
Zara has terrorised numerous of Erinsborough’s finest despite Amy Greenwood’s (Jacinta Stapleton) constant attempts to communicate with her daughter.
Jane, on the other hand, has been the target of much of the bullying since the teen discovered she had hidden a camera in a teddy bear to spy on Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes).
Sadie grabbed the teddy bear in question from Toadie’s (Ryan Moloney) and planted it in Jane’s office last week, much to her dismay, after learning about Jane’s actions through Zara.
The bullying, on Tuesday’s (February 15) episode of the Australian soap, got out of hand, with the pupils making fun of Jane and whispering behind her back.
Jane reported the students’ inappropriate behaviour, but she had no idea what would happen next when her students began filming her on their phones.
The teacher, terrified, went for a stroll to clear her mind, but she quickly grew overwhelmed and fought to breathe.
Jane was distressed, so Freya Wozniak (Phoebe Roberts), who happened to be passing by, took her hand and helped her take deep breaths.
Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) was shocked to learn that Jane’s health had begun to deteriorate as a result of Zara’s bullying, and she took immediate action, informing Toadie (Ryan Moloney) and Amy of the young girl’s shocking behaviour.
But, as the episode came to a close, things took a tragic turn when Jane and Susan set their sights on a fire on school grounds.
Is it Zara’s fault? Has she defiantly refused to be instructed what to do yet again?
