He is one of the most recognisable performers in Australia.
However, this week as he announced his stunning hair transformation on Instagram, Patrick O’Connor appeared quite different.
The Home and Away actor opted for a short blond hairstyle in place of his trademark dark locks.
While snuggling his cavoodle Winnie, Patrick flaunted his hairdo on Instagram.
His new hairstyle caused some fans to disagree, with some calling it “awful” and others saying it “fits him.”
One fan remarked, “Mmm not sure, I’ll have to get accustomed to it but it makes your eyes shine out.”
Another said, “No, no, no, it looks terrible.”
I love your new hairdo, Paddy, one fan said. When you receive a new haircut and colour, it feels wonderful and clean.
No matter what colour of hair Paddy has, he is still gorgeous, a second person said.
It follows previous comments made by Patrick’s girlfriend Sophie Dillman about how their first date was less passionate than she had planned.
When they went to eat at Mary’s, a burger establishment in Newtown, Sophie, 29, was in tremendous pain since she had been rushed to the hospital owing to an endometriosis flare-up.
She was so miserable at one point that she had to sit on the sidewalk.
I declared, “I must sit down immediately.” Sophie recalled that “Patrick” said, “Sophie, we’re on King Street, you can’t sit down!”
I called my mother while I was sitting in a laneway and said, “Mum, I have to get to the hospital, it’s so horrible, I don’t have enough painkillers.”
He had never seen anything like that before, the poor guy, and my sister was also offering me advice.
She claimed that even after Patrick “turned white,” he still made every effort to support her, which raised a big red flag.
On the television show Home and Away, the duo portrays Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni.
