The 46-year-old actress posted an astonishing video to Instagram showing her face covered in bruises and blood.
She made an appearance with James Stewart, 47, her co-star on Home and Away, who appeared to have comparable ailments.
Within the video, Ada expressed, “Well, another one bites the dust.”
However, the mother of one quickly allayed viewers’ concerns by revealing that their makeup was used to create their looks rather than being real.
“Just thought I’d share some fun BTS clips of tonight’s crazy episodes,” she said as the post’s caption. You should tune in to @channel7 right now.
Ada and James were given realistic-looking makeup to play Leah and Justin, who were kidnapped and held captive for days without access to food, water, or plumbing in the most recent episode of Home and Away.
In behind-the-scenes videos, the performers smiled and giggled despite the sombre plot.
Following Ada’s tweet, fans immediately left their opinions in the comments section. One called the appearances “intense.”
“The makeup looked amazing! Justin and Leah looked appropriately fierce!” they wrote.
Another person exclaimed, “Oh no, my eyes, my eyes,” and a third person praised the cosmetics.
The moments “had me on the edge of my seat,” according to one participant.
Someone else said, “Realness is on point.”
Ada joked during her Thursday appearance on The Morning Show that she “hates” having to wear makeup and grime for specific sequences.
“I told the writers, ‘that’s it, I can only look glamorous from now on,'” she chuckled.
“No, but you know, it was really great shooting this because for weeks on end, it was just the two of us, so it felt like we were doing a movie.”
Aside from that, Sam Frost, a former star of Home and Away, stunned viewers with her striking new look after cutting off her long hair.
The mother of one showed her almost 600,000 followers a video of the makeover.
The hairstyle quickly became popular among her former co-stars, with Sarah Roberts saying, “Yassssss I love this look on uuuuuuu.”
The soap opera’s Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts, concurred, saying, “Gorgeous girlie.”
Meanwhile, 19 years after leaving the hit series Home and Away, former star Mark Furze has become unrecognisable.
He became well-known as Eric “Ric” Dalby, the cousin of Martha MacKenzie and the grandson of the adored figure Alf Stewart.
Show viewers have expressed their shock in comments on his Instagram profile, with one writing: “You look so different from Home and Away days”!
