Home and Away changing timeslots on Channel 5 for rest of the year

Channel 5 has announced that Home and Away will have a new timeslot for the remainder of the year.

On Monday, October 30 through Friday, November 17, the show will air on weekdays at a slightly earlier time of 1pm. The series will conclude on Friday, November 17. This is due to Channel 5 starting their holiday programming, which includes Christmas movies starting at 1:30 pm on weekdays.

To announce the new timeslot, Home and Away released a PSA video on X, formerly Twitter. Ray Meagher’s character, Summer Bay mainstay Alf Stewart, gave the news. “Hello, fans of Home and Away,” he said.

“We wanted to let you know that, starting on October 30, Home and Away will be shown on Channel 5 at an earlier time of 1pm as the countdown to Christmas begins, so you don’t miss any of the drama in Summer Bay. Not to mention, you can watch Home and Away whenever you want on My5 or at 6:30 p.m. on 5STAR. I’ll run into you there.

After the new series premieres in the new year, Home and Away will resume airing on Channel 5 at its regular time slot of 1.45 pm on weekdays.

The storyline around DS Madden’s police corruption has been intensifying recently in the Bay. After DS Madden ordered Dana’s death, UK viewers would soon witness Irene and Harper being arrested for harbouring the fugitive Dana.

Dramatic scenes that will premiere in the UK on Channel 5 next week feature the crooked detective framing Dana for a narcotics charge and hatching a plan to permanently destroy her. Madden threatens to arrest Harper, her sister, for aiding a criminal when she eventually turns herself in.

Then, when Madden and Dana vanish from sight, Harper, Irene Roberts, and Cash Newman are left perplexed. Will they be able to locate Dana in time?
