On “Home and Away,” Georgie Parker covers her body with baggy clothing.

The 58-year-old actress, who plays Roo Stewart on the Australian soap opera, revealed that while she is still “very mobile” following an accident she was involved in as a child, she now prefers to wear loose garments on set in order to cover off her scarred body.

When I was young, I was hit by a car, she admitted to OK! Magazine. My rib cage is positioned in my pelvis, making my spine into a beautiful C shape. I’m still relatively mobile, but it’s very disgusting. People sometimes wonder why Roo wears such baggy clothing, and the answer is that I have to cover my body because I have dropped four centimetres in height.

The Logie Award-winning actress continued by saying that she “loved” working regularly in the beginning of her career but that as she got famous for playing Lucy in the 1980s serial opera “A Country Practise,” she discovered that things had become “really hard” since her privacy in public had been invaded.

“I started in theatre and miniseries, so I was always getting work and loved it,” she remarked. I started spending every night in people’s houses after I got the role in “A Country Practise” when I was 23. Suddenly, I started hearing ‘Lucy’, the name of my character, being called out to me. I struggled greatly because I thought my right to privacy in public had been violated. However, once you understand it, you see that since you are so lucky, you should be gracious about it. Although I do establish boundaries, neither my kid nor my husband have been made public figures. My private life is very much mine, and I’ve always thought of it that way.
