Samara Weaving, an Australian performer, attended the red carpet premiere of her new film The Valet in Hollywood.
In a Louis Vuitton gown, the former Home and Away star stunned alongside her co-star, Overboard actor Eugenio Derbez, at The Montalban theatre.
Some of the cast members were also present, including Max Greenfield, Betsy Brandt, Marisol Nichols, Carmen Salinas, and Diany Rodriguez, as well as director Richard Wong.
She has roles in Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood and Nine Perfect Strangers with fellow Australian Nicole Kidman before becoming a Hollywood A-lister. From 2009 through 2013, Weaving portrayed Indi Walker on Home and Away.
Weaving’s casting in The Valet — an adaptation of the 2006 French film of the same name — was first announced in March of last year. The Valet tells the story of a movie star (Weaving) who hires her parking valet (Derbez) to double as her lover so that no one finds out about her affair with a married man.
On May 20, the film will be released worldwide on Disney Plus streaming.
Weaving told People earlier this month that she enjoyed being a part of the project.
“It was a pleasure working with this incredible crew on the set of The Valet, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been a part of such a delightful film,” she remarked.
“Working with Eugenio, Max, Betsy, and Carmen (Salinas), as well as our brave commander Rich, made the 3 a.m. calls very worthwhile.”
Derbez stated that the feeling was reciprocated.
“I had a blast working with Samara! It would have been easy for her character to be disliked — after all, who can sympathise with a rich, gorgeous, and famous actress?” he stated.
“However, Samara gave the role such warmth and empathy that we end up yearning for her and my character to connect… but how much will they connect?” You’ll have to see the film to find out!”
