Tammin Sursok has opened up about her experience on Australia’s long-running and popular soap, Home and Away.
The Australian actress, who now has a successful Hollywood career, played Dani Sutherland on the soap from 2000 until 2004 and earned a Logie Award for her performance.
The 38-year-old told Daily Mail Australia exclusively this week that she is glad for the experience since it ‘kickstarted her career.’
Tammin recently delighted fans by posting flashback photos of herself with former castmate Chris Hemsworth at her 21st birthday party, and she reflected on what it was like to work with the Thor actor back in the day.
She and Chris, as well as co-stars Isabel Lucas and Bec Hewitt, were all ‘bushy tailed and bright-eyed’ during the outset of their careers, according to the South African-born Australian actress and singer.
‘Australians are down-to-earth people… We were all new to our jobs, and we were all enthusiastic,’ Tammin remembered.
‘Everyone was really nice. I’m glad for the opportunity, and he [Chris] was and is still beautiful,’ she continued.
Despite the fact that she gets a lot of questions about the show from devoted fans, she said she’s always eager to talk about it in her Instagram Q&As.
‘It brings back a lot of memories for me,’ she added.
‘I’ll never forget that time. I was 17 years old at the time, and it changed my life. The memories I have from that concert are unlike any other, and it influenced who I am today.’
‘I never get upset about that, and you have to come from someplace,’ she continued,’so it makes me glad if they [the fans] have pleasant memories.’
Tammin went on to star in The Young and the Restless and Pretty Little Liars after leaving Home and Away.
Tammin has stated that her successful programme Pretty Little Liars has “transformed her life” in the United States.
She expressed her gratitude for her job achievement by saying she is extremely ‘grateful.’
‘Fortunately, everything has worked out in my favour, and I’m glad for the chances I’ve had, and the fact that I can have a family while working is a blessing,’ she added.
She went on to say that her success in Hollywood was due to a combination of “a lot of luck and hard work.”
‘Choosing a job isn’t always easy, but when it does work out, it’s fantastic,’ she added of her acting career.
