AFL star Taylor ‘Tex’ Walker rumoured to star on Home and Away: ‘He’s going to be Irene’s toy boy’

The Adelaide breakfast show Roo, Ditts and Loz on Triple M has revealed that Adelaide Crows player Taylor “Tex” Walker will be a cast member of Home and Away.

On Wednesday morning, Laura ‘Loz’ O’Callaghan made the startling revelation after noticing something on a fan page.

They’re going to hook him up, in my opinion. “I’m not sure if he’s going to be Irene’s toy boy or if he’s just making a cameo as himself,” she remarked.

“I noticed that they met him on the Home and Away page.”

“Roo, believe me, there’s a problem,” she concluded.

The actor Stephanie Panozzo, who portrays musician Eden Fowler on the show, was sighted with the AFL player, which is when the rumour started.

This raises eyebrows, as does Walker’s own admission last month on Seven’s The Front Bar that he loves the show and counts it as his favourite TV binge.

There is a history of Home and Away incorporating famous people and athletes into its plot.

Summer Bay has given boxer Kostya Tszyu, Ian Thorpe, and Lleyton Hewitt their fair share of sunshine.

International artists John Farnham, Jessica Mauboy, Ed Sheeran, and Sia have also detoured to the well-known coastal location.

Walker just achieved a noteworthy milestone in Round 18 of 2020 by playing in his 200th game for the Crows and making history as Adelaide’s highest goalkicker.

Walker’s life has been exciting off the field.

In November 2019, he and his spouse Ellie welcomed their first kid, Hugo James, into the world.

Then, in January 2021, the couple welcomed Louis Jack, and in October of last year, they welcomed baby Harriet.
