A well-liked Australian rules football player may want to transition from a playing career to one in television, sources say.
Australian soap opera Home and Away is speculated to feature Adelaide Crows star Taylor “Tex” Walker, 33.
After discovering a clue on a fan page, radio broadcaster Laura “Loz” O’Callaghan made the shocking assertion on Wednesday morning’s Roo, Ditts and Loz programme on Triple M’s Adelaide breakfast show.
“I think they’re going to get him on,” she stated. I’m not sure whether he’s going to be Irene’s toy boy or just making an appearance as himself.
“I noticed something on the Home and Away page; they were catching up and hanging out with the folks from Home and Away when they met him.
“Roo, I assure you, there is a problem.”
It happens after Walker was spotted spending the weekend hanging out with Stephanie Panozzo, an actor who plays musician Eden Fowler on the show.
The football player recently said on AFL discussion show The Front Bar that his favourite TV binge is Home and Away.
Over the years, a number of other sportsmen have passed through Summer Bay, including boxer Kostya Tszyu, Ian Thorpe, and Lleyton Hewitt, in addition to well-known figures like Ed Sheeran, Sia, and Jessica Mauboy.
Walker, a native of Broken Hill, was selected in the 2007 draught and enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2011 with 63 goals scored.
In 2020, he made his Crows debut and rose to the position of Adelaide’s all-time top goalkicker.
Off the field, Hugo James was Walker and Ellie’s first child born in November 2019, followed by Louis Jack, their second son, in January 2021, and Harriet, their third, in October 2022.
Star of Home and Away Ada Nicodemou frightened fans last month when she posted a video of her face seeming injured and bloodied.
She clarified soon that the wounds were staged makeup for a scene in which she was kidnapped and held captive for days without access to food, water, or plumbing.
In the meantime, pictures of actual injuries that show star Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts on the programme, had during a dog walk startled fans.
The 70-year-old said she was “shaken up” after an accident that left her “face planted” on the road.
The actress said that she had fallen whilst walking her daughter’s dog.
