The murder trial of Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) and Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) will end tonight on Coronation Street.
Imran (Charlie De Melo) and Sabeen (Zora Bishop) had been interrogating Corey, Kelly, Nina (Mollie Gallagher), and Asha (Tanisha Gorey) about the night of Nina and Seb’s (Harry Visinoni) attack over the last few weeks.
Who will be sentenced to death based on the outcome of tonight’s episodes?
Is Kelly and Corey on their way out of Coronation Street?
Imran is still fighting to prove Kelly’s innocence now that the jury has been acquitted.
As the verdict is read, it is unclear if Kelly or Corey, or possibly both, will be sentenced to prison.
The outcome of the trial will remain a well guarded secret until the scenes broadcast, but depending on who is sentenced, we may see more of them as they adjust to life in jail.
What would Corey’s life be like in jail if he gets sentenced? Will he eventually realise he’s been caught out as a smug, arrogant adolescent who has lied his way through the trial?
Kelly, on the other hand, is a troubled, sensitive adolescent – can she truly manage on her own if the jury finds her guilty, despite the fact that Corey knows she didn’t kill Seb?
And, if the erroneous result is announced, how would Weatherfield people react? Imran has worked tirelessly to save Kelly, but what would life be like for him if he believes he has failed her?
