In forthcoming EastEnders episodes, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) will make a major choice, deciding to adopt Janine Butcher’s (Charlie Brooks) daughter Scarlett.
Martin (James Bye) realises the little kid doesn’t know the truth about who his father is as Tommy begs Kat to assist Scarlett with the court case.
Kat takes Tommy down and informs him that Alfie (Shane Richie) isn’t his true father, but that his Uncle Michael is, thereby making Tommy and Scarlett siblings.
Despite his surprise, this just strengthens Tommy’s resolve to protect Scarlett.
Kat later shows up in the courts and tells the social worker that she wants to be Scarlett’s caregiver.
How will the following several weeks unfold as Kat becomes increasingly persuaded that Scarlett would be better off never seeing her mother again?
Is Kat in risk if Janine figures out what’s going on?
How enraged may Janine become if the court approves Kat’s adoption of Scarlett?
