Home and Away network responds after Sam Frost announces she’s unvaccinated for coronavirus

Channel Seven, the home of Home and Away, has reacted to actress Sam Frost’s recent social media post in which she stated that she is still unprotected against coronavirus.

The network stated that Jasmine Delaney continues to adhere to all on-set safety procedures, although it “highly advises” its staff to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination.

Many of Frost’s followers chastised him lately when he shared a video appealing for “compassion” and “empathy” for people who refuse to get the vaccine. Following the outrage, she has subsequently deactivated her Instagram account.

“Seven firmly advocates vaccination for all of our people, and all Seven productions completely comply to the public health COVID-19 safe guidelines,” a Channel Seven spokesman stated in a statement (via Daily Mail Australia).

“In addition to other precautionary precautions, the cast and crew of Home and Away undergo COVID-19 testing three times a week.” Sam Frost continues to work on Home and Away while adhering to the established safety measures.”

Frost didn’t say why she hasn’t been vaccinated in the original video posted to her Instagram page, but she did express her fear of “getting in trouble” if she came out publicly as unvaccinated.

“It’s a really difficult moment to be in society right now,” she said, “and you feel like you’re less of a human and that others criticise you.”

“And you’re afraid to express your thoughts or sentiments, and a part of you wants to say, ‘Well, it’s none of your damn business why I’m not!’ And there are excellent reasons for that, and I don’t want you to pass judgement on me.'”

Frost said earlier this year that she suffers from anxiety and sadness but has improved her ability to recognise when she requires assistance.

She remarked, “It’s constantly up and down.” “I believe that many individuals who battle with mental health, depression, or anxiety realise that you have good days and terrible days.”

She is the co-founder of Believe By Sam Frost, a non-profit that helps teenage girls deal with depression, anxiety, toxic relationships, and social media.
