Kate Ritchie has devised a novel method to pass the time during Sydney’s COVID lockdown.
On Thursday, the 43-year-old radio host shared an Instagram Story snapshot of herself polishing her three TV WEEK Logie Awards.
The former Home and Away actress was busy polishing the tchotchkes that had been tarnished over time.
She captioned the photo, “It’s even gotten to this… #lockdown.”
Kate won three Logies for her role as Sally Fletcher in the long-running TV serial Home and Away in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
She was a regular in the Channel Seven series for 22 seasons, from 1988 to 2008, and then returned for a brief cameo in 2013.
Kate spoke about her decision to leave the programme in an interview with news.com.au in February of last year.
When she chose to quit the series, she stated she was approaching her 30th birthday and there was “a lot of change in the air.”
Kate originally joined the ensemble when she was ten years old in 1988, and after 20 years on the show, she stated she was ready for a change.
‘I knew I was going to leave eventually, so why not while my world was changing?’ she told news.com.au.
Although she merely intended to take a vacation from the programme, she quickly found work in radio.
‘It was this sensation of being lost in so many ways while still being ecstatic… ‘It was at that point in my life when I truly learnt to trust my instincts,’ she explained.
