Family members of Mackenzie wait for updates on her condition while keeping vigil at the hospital. Mali has taken himself to task by researching online, pointing out that having a second heart attack so soon after the first may be lethal. Tane has greater hope.
Harper joins them in the waiting area after accidentally telling Felicity the news. Levi soon breaks the good news that Mac survived her operation. Tane embraces Felicity close as she sobs in relief, and there’s a charged moment between them.
Later, Felicity shows up to help as Tane gets ready to pack some stuff for Mac to go to the hospital. When she inquires about their moment together, she is direct with her ex. Although Tane acknowledges that he felt the same way, he still believes that they cannot be together, therefore he must now shatter her heart once more. Despite her grief, she maintains her composure. Is Felicity at last putting her marriage behind her?
Later, at Salt, Eden becomes irritated when Mali toasts to Doctor Fowler. She brushes it off quickly, saying he’s just going about his work. When Mali and Rose find out that Levi is Eden’s brother, they are horrified. Eden excuses herself with haste, and Cash follows suit, wondering if she’s really getting any joy out of the ongoing rivalry.
Eden appears at the same moment that Levi is praising the benefits of family—a hypocritical move, in her opinion—as Mac stirs at the hospital later. After leaving, she tells Cash that she is upset with herself because, although she briefly doubted her feelings for her brother, she will never do so again. She has a proposal for Cash and proposes that should leave together after running into Levi at the coffee cart.
