Former Home and Away and Packed to the Rafters star Zoe Ventoura ‘unrecognisable’ during new Sunrise interview

During a live Sunrise interview, Australian actress Zoe Ventoura presented a rather startling new look.

On the Channel Seven breakfast show, the former Packed To The Rafters and Home and Away star discussed her upcoming performance in the stage version of Chicago.

However, a recent promotional video featuring Ventoura from the musical is what has people buzzing.

The video demonstrates how the actress will change drastically to play Velma in the popular musical.

The actress’s sleek, black haircut will replace her long, light-brown hair, and viewers have said that she looks almost “unrecognisable” in comparison.

Additionally, Ventoura is seen in the new video sporting a short, sensual 1920s-inspired dress and sheer stockings, a stark contrast to the relaxed attire she wore on Packed to the Rafters.

Sunrise host Nat Barr made a statement about the obscene role throughout the interview.

Isn’t it a little raunchy? Nat remarked.

Ventoura said, “Yeah, it’s really hot.

Nat chuckled and questioned, “Is that what drew you to the role?!”

The actress claimed that she believed Chicago’s success was due to its raunchy plot and cast of characters.

“Well, I think that’s what makes it such a great show,” she remarked.

And for that reason, it has become the longest-running production on Broadway. Because it’s such a masterful blend of a little sensual and a lot of fun. That’s intriguing, too.

“It’s just such a great night at the theatre, and the characters are great.”

Ventoura acknowledged that the promotional video with her and the other members of her cast dressed as extras had captured her attention.

She revealed, “I hadn’t seen that behind-the-scenes film before and I was like, ‘Oh! Wow!’.

She referred to the making of the promotional film as a unique experience.

“God, it was just a dream,” she cried.

“We shot that in the old Melbourne jail, and then roll in the costumes that black and the red lighting and whatnot. They started hammering the music through the speakers.

“Yeah, it makes you shiver. It was excellent.
