Tammin Sursok stuns in a flowing dress at a garden tea party with her daughters Phoenix, eight, and Lennon, three, in a campaign for May Gibbs

Tammin Sursok has been named as a new May Gibbs ambassador.

The former Home and Away actress, 38, is the face of the brand’s new children’s clothes and homewares collection.

She looks stunning in a flowing blue dress at a garden tea party with her kids, Phoenix, eight, and Lennon, three, in exclusive photographs shared with Daily Mail Australia.

The Australian actress, who was born in South Africa, described her appointment as an ambassador as a “pinch-me moment.”

Tammin stated, “I’m really honoured to be a part of the May Gibbs campaign, and I’ve adored working with the girls on this.”

‘Reading these novels with my girls, the same books I read as a kid, gives me such a nostalgic sensation.’ It’s a pinch-me moment, to be honest.’

May Gibbs, whose real name was Cecilia May Gibbs, was a British-Australian novelist best known for her Snugglepot and Cuddlepie book series.

Her writings and characters, particularly the Gumnut Babies, are still remembered lovingly today, despite her death in November 1969.

Tammin enjoys passing on part of her Australian background to her American girls through the collaboration, as well as introducing them to works she grew up with.

The Pretty Little Liars star and her family have been residing in the United States for years, but Tammin is presently working on a new project in Australia.

‘I’ve always enjoyed May Gibbs novels and enjoy reading them with my daughters to introduce them to Australian bush legends,’ she added.

‘It’s incredibly essential for me to share that aspect of my ancestry and upbringing with them.’ As a result, being a part of this new campaign means a lot to me, and the new collection is really stunning.’

Tammin stands with her girls next to May Gibbs gear, which includes homewares, books, and toys, in the marketing pictures.

Tammin said she’ll be saving many pieces from the Christmas collection for future generations since she loves it so much.

‘They’re so perfectly built,’ she remarked, ‘that you can truly appreciate everything and pass it down to generations – I know I will.’

Leading shops such as Myer, Big W, and Australia Post are carrying the new range.
