Home and Away’s Patrick O’Connor pens an emotional birthday tribute to girlfriend Sophie Dillman after the pair left the soap together: ‘In awe of you’

They quit the well-known soap opera where they first met to go on a world tour.

And it’s clear that Patrick O’Connor and Sophie Dillman, who portrayed Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni on the television series Home And Away, are still deeply in love.

On her 30th birthday, on Tuesday, Patrick sent a heartfelt and adoring tribute to his partner.

Patrick wished his best pal a happy birthday while posting a carousel of images documenting their travels together.

I’m constantly in awe of you and think how fortunate this world is to have you. To the moon and back, we adore you.

From me and the large dog (Winnie), xxxx.

Happy birthday wishes for Sophie were left in the comments by the couple’s friends and supporters.

Georgie Parker, a former coworker of Sophie’s on Home And Away, wrote: “Happy birthday, gorgeous Soph. I hope you’re having a great time. Many blessings to you both.

Sarah Roberts, a soap opera star, tweeted: “Happy birthday sweet @sophiedillman…We xxxx love you.

Also, a supporter remarked, “You two are just so adorable, happy birthday Sophie.”

Earlier this year, the pair parted ways to embark on a joint European vacation.

They also intend to remain abroad, with Sophie aiming to launch a theatre career in the UK.

Although Sophie stated in May that she would like to perform on stage, she recently stated that she is eager to return to acting.

She claimed, “An acting teacher told me I don’t have the look for television because I had a fat face.”

That gave a 21-year-old who was still trying to figure himself out a lot more confidence! I therefore imagined that my work would be limited to acting and playing characters. Unexpectedly, I still have TV. But I really want to be in the theatre here.

Sophie and Patrick have travelled to Italy, Scotland, Ireland, and Portugal since leaving Australia in January.

The couple currently has no intentions to create a family, according to Sophie, who recently updated fans on her endometriosis battle.

I evidently have to consider my eggs dying now that I’ll be 30!

But I am aware that there won’t be any room for impromptu travel if I begin a reproductive journey at some point. We essentially played someone else for a very long time instead of ourselves. Right now, all we want to do is travel.
