This week on Home And Away, Felicity must deal with blackmail in addition to her trauma from being drugged and sexually abused.
Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) receives a mysterious text message threatening to make the footage of her sexual assault go viral unless she pays her attacker $1000.
She rushes home to her husband Tane (Ethan Browne), horrified at the idea, and considers her options.
The police, in particular Flick’s brother Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), who has been looking into the case, come to mind as Tane’s first port of call. She does not, however, wish to involve him.
Jacqui tells TV WEEK, “She can’t bring herself to do it,” and adds that the strain of her situation is causing her relationship with Tane to become strained.
She explains, “These two people are trying to get through trauma, but they can’t seem to find each other on the same page.” It’s difficult and taxing.
When Xander (Luke Van Os) reveals that Flick left Salt after receiving a text, Cash might learn the truth nevertheless. Tane flinches when he prods her for information. Flick decides to ignore the texts in the interim, but for how long?
Only a few weeks had passed since someone attacked Flick at the Battle Of The Bands concert and drugged her drink. She was beginning to put the incident behind her with some treatment, but now she’s back where she started, possibly much more terrified.
Opening up might be challenging at first, as Jacqui observes. It’s difficult for her to accept the attack and discuss it in depth [in therapy] since it is terrible once more. She had the guts to go through it. And once she realises the advantages of talking about it, she does so wholeheartedly.”
Which option will Flick pick—paying up or retaliating?
