Home and Away Spoilers – Can Bella rescue Chloe from drowning?

On this week’s episode of Home and Away in Australia, Jasmine is taken aback by Cash’s birthday gift, while Bella rushes to save Chloe from drowning.

Cash Newman’s (Nicholas Cartwright) and Jasmine Delaney’s (Sam Frost) romance is still in its early stages after his arrival in Summer Bay last year, but Cash is stunned to find from his sister Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) that it’s actually his girlfriend’s birthday this week!

The day of Jasmine’s birthday arrived last week, and John (Shane Withington) ran into her and inquired about her plans.

Jasmine quickly dismissed him, claiming that birthdays were not her thing and that she had no plans to celebrate them.

When Jasmine ran into her best friend Felicity, she mistook her remark of celebrating beverages for Flick’s desire to celebrate her new job; knowing that her friend was unaware of her birthday, she stayed silent about it.

In the end, it was Irene (Lynne McGranger) who told Flick about Jasmine’s birthday.

Irene had hoped to persuade Jasmine to let her prepare a special roast supper that evening, but Jasmine refused. She emphasised her dissatisfaction with the attention and expressed her want to let it go, but she did accept a birthday cookie from Irene as she exited the café.

When Cash enters the diner this week, Flick chastises him for not informing her that it was Jasmine’s birthday—not expecting him to be as dumb as she was!

She makes jokes about how terrific of a boyfriend he is and afterwards attempts to persuade him to do something special for her.

Cash tells his sister, “Jasmine is not going to dump me because I forgot her birthday,” but his confidence wanes mid-sentence. “Would she?”

While Cash may wonder why Jasmine didn’t inform him and whether it’s best not to make a fuss, it appears like he eventually caves in after Flick cautions him that he doesn’t want to find out the hard way whether she’ll dump him for failing to celebrate the occasion.

When Cash encourages Jasmine to close her eyes and brings her onto the pier that evening, she expects a calm night in.

When she opens them, she discovers a candlelit meal for the two of them, complete with a large birthday cake as the centrepiece.

Cash, on the other hand, is taken aback when Jasmine rejects his thoughtful gift.

“I didn’t ask for this,” she exclaims, “and I didn’t want ANY of it.” She then walks away!

The two don’t appear to be at odds for long, as the trailer published last week depicts Cash confessing to Jasmine that he’s in love with her after talking things over.

Jasmine expresses her feelings in the same way, and the two kiss.

However, it begs the question of why Jasmine is so apprehensive about celebrating her own birthday.

And how will the two ever get Felicity to stop being their third wheel…?

In Summer Bay, Chloe (Sam Barrett) continues to struggle with Ari’s captivity, and there appears to be a surprising surprise.

Since accidentally killing her biological father Matthew Montgomery (James Sweeny) by knocking him over the head while grabbing Mia, Chloe has been plagued by remorse (Anna Samson). Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) was the one who took responsibility for the incident, and he is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty.

Mia was astonished to learn how distraught Chloe was over the family’s disintegration when she discovered her diary last week, and she was even more saddened to learn that Chloe believed Mia’s life would have been much better if she hadn’t been around.

“So many things have been ruined as a result of me,” she wrote.

“Mum shouldn’t have had me in the first place.” I was not supposed to be born. If I hadn’t been here, none of this would have happened, and everyone would be better off.”

Chloe was enraged that Mia had abused her trust, and she told her that she needed an outlet for her feelings because the rest of the family was attempting to be normal.

Mia agreed that they needed to be more open with one another, and Chloe subsequently burnt the diary to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

But, according to this week’s spoilers, Chloe will go one step further by punishing herself, which will result in her nearly drowning!

Bella (Courtney Miller), the only person outside of the family who knows Chloe’s secret, rushes to her rescue, while a preview published last week depicts Mia arriving at the hospital in a frenzied state.

Is Chloe’s mental state ready to lead her to attempt suicide, or is it just an accident…?
