Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) has put his cherished surf board collection up for sale on Home and Away, which upsets Ziggy Astoni (played by Sophie Dillman).
Because of his injuries from last year’s terrible automobile accident, Ziggy believes Dean is given up on his dream of ever being able to surf again.
So, on today’s episode of the Australian soap, Ziggy is furious when she discovers Dean’s favourite surf board has been sold!
It’s the same board he used to win the surf championship last year.
The buyer simply left cash at the Surf Club for the board.
Dean tries to persuade Ziggy to drop the case, but she is dead set on finding out who now owns the board.
When Ziggy learns who the new owner of the surfboard is, she is taken aback.
She challenges them to a friendly competition.
Ziggy can claim the surfboard as her prize if she wins.
Will Dean, on the other hand, approve of Ziggy’s antics?
While his wife, Martha (Belinda Giblin), looks through a catalogue of burial caskets, Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) stays uneasy.
He doesn’t want to talk about Martha’s funeral wishes.
But when Martha and his daughter, Roo (Georgie Parker), arrive with the wonderful news that she is a kidney match for Martha, Alf’s spirits are raised.
Finally, the Stewart family’s future appears to be bright.
Is that the case?
Martha appears to be rethinking her decision to accept her daughter’s organ donation…
After Dean was involved in a cliffhanging vehicle accident last year, Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) assisted in saving his life.
Dean’s friends and family are all concerned that he has given up hope of ever being able to surf again.
So, with the help of some surf floats, Dr Logan decides to give Dean some hope by bringing him out for a dip in the sea.
Logan feels Dean’s desire to get back on a surfboard after a fantastic day in the water… even if he denies it.
Is there a chance Dean may return to surfing in the future?
