Former Neighbours star Scott McGregor charged with s*xual assault

Scott McGregor, a former Neighbours actor who portrayed Detective Mark Brennan on the upcoming serial opera, has been charged with one count of s*xual assault.

The charge pertains to an alleged incident that allegedly happened in February of this year at a seaside bar in St Kilda, Melbourne (via Herald Sun).

In January 2023, McGregor is scheduled to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates Court.

From 2010 to 2019, when the role was written out and Mark Brennan moved to Adelaide to care for his ailing mother, Scott intermittently played Mark Brennan. In 2020, for the 35th anniversary events, Mark made a comeback.

With regard to the soap opera, we now understand that this summer’s closing episode was simply a “see you next year,” since it has been officially announced that the adored series will return to our screens in 2023.

Production on the new episodes is scheduled to begin in April after several important cast members have visited the UK as part of what was known as Neighbours: The Farewell Tour. Neighbours’ new home in the UK will be Amazon Freevee.

While four cast members will undoubtedly return for the revival, it is unknown which other actors from the cast of 2022 will be joining them.
