Actors Stefan Dennis and Rebekah Elmaloglou from the TV show Neighbours have hinted at some of the “mind-blowing” twists that will occur in the major return later this year.
A video of the performers, shot in the spring on their first day back on the set where they attended a meeting with the cast and staff and a mix of familiar and new faces, was shared on the Australian soap’s official Twitter account.
Elmaloglou stated, “We’re having a significant discussion with our executive producer, Jason [Herbison] to ascertain what is going on.
Dennis continued, “This is so exciting because we haven’t got a clue,” even if his co-star hinted that she knew a little bit.
The film then cuts to a montage of the meeting, during which no one can be heard but there are some tears visible (are they shed because everyone is back together or as a result of a forthcoming plot point?).
The two appeared stunned as they left the meeting, and Dennis taunted, “I didn’t think that was going to happen.”
“Oh my god,” Elmaloglou exclaimed. It’s “mind blown.”
We do know that Guy Pearce’s Mike Young will return for a brief period of time following the last conclusion, that a new family is arriving, and that there will be a wedding involving… someone regarding the new episodes, which will be available on Amazon’s Freevee service.
In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy, Alan Fletcher teased the stories, saying, “They’re some of the most inventive and exciting scripts I’ve ever seen in the show in my 28 years.”
There is a lot to look forwards to for the supporters.
