Sheila Canning’s permanent departure from Erinsborough has been set in motion by Neighbours.
Sheila’s stunning exit from Ramsay Street after ten years was revealed just a few weeks ago.
Sheila’s closing scenes, which aired early last week at UK speed, were previously seen by viewers. Sheila was shown reacting to the news that Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson) had broken into Freya Wozniak’s house in order to look for evidence about her secrets.
Sheila was still in Erinsborough, but off screen in bed, according to Tuesday’s show on Channel 5.
This came as the Canning family’s issues grew, with Levi (Richie Morris) unsure what to do with Freya’s new disclosures and Kyle (Chris Milligan) kicking himself for not listening to Roxy’s worries about Freya’s behaviour in the first place.
Kyle and Levi took a break from Erinsborough by going to the beach, where Levi bemoaned his tumultuous relationship.
When Roxy called with the news that Sheila would be leaving Ramsay Street soon, their heart-to-heart was cut short.
Roxy said to Kyle, “Please hurry home because I am preparing a family supper. Mama is taking a flight to Los Angeles in the morning.”
Roxy joked when asked if Sheila was going to meet her daughter Naomi “No, to become famous in Hollywood. She is, without a doubt, seeing Naomi. Her lover is said to be seriously ill.”
Colette Mann, who portrayed Sheila on Neighbours, recently revealed her departure from the show.
“Looks that way,” Colette responded when asked if Sheila’s departure was permanent.
Sheila first appeared on Neighbours in 2012.
