The ideal situation would be similar to a regular programme, where we would only shoot for a few months of the year.
In light of the shocking news that Neighbours is being revived, April Rose Pengilly, who plays Chloe Brennan on the serial, has discussed if she will return to the show as Brennan.
After 37 years on television, the long-running soap was cancelled earlier this year, but Amazon Freevee gave it fresh life by placing an order for a new batch of episodes for 2023.
Pengilly has talked about her initial thoughts on the announcement of the comeback while also weighing whether or not she would return. Many celebrities have stated that they were taken aback by the news.
The celebrity encouraged her followers to message her on Instagram with questions, and viewers naturally questioned her about the revival of the Australian serial.
“I’d really like to go back. However, it depends on other initiatives and the environment. The majority of the cast members have moved out of Melbourne and don’t want to relocate again, she said. “I can’t speak for everyone, but I believe we don’t want to return to the previous situation since it was demanding and tiresome.
The best case scenario would be similar to a regular show, where we would only shoot for a few months of the year and have some flexibility (many don’t want to go back so would want to find ways to commute).
But we genuinely lack any information, and we’re not even sure if we’ll be questioned! Additionally, I fear that if I go back, Chelly might split up, and I don’t want to ruin our happy ending.
Pengilly expressed her amazement at the news of the show’s reappearance when asked about it, saying: “We were all just incredibly astonished and puzzled! Although I know you’re all thrilled to have your show back, it’s weird for us as we had no prior knowledge of it.
“Outside of the Heritage 4, none of us have received an invitation to participate yet. Like, every member of the cast and crew was laid off. The jobs are back now! But it’s possible that we won’t be hired.
