Morgan Hudson
On January 11, 2023, Kyle Shilling’s character Mali Hudson made his entrance.
The persona is a shaper who works with Dean to create new surfboard designs.
Shilling is the program’s first prominent Native American character.
“If I had seen someone like me on a popular TV show when I was a kid, I would have been more driven as a young person to want to better myself and explore acting,” he said in a statement regarding his casting.
“As Indigenous people, we are often classed as athletes; I never considered taking an other path.
“It has a big impact when you feel like you’ve lived a stereotypical existence.
Looking back, I realise that if I had seen someone like Mali Hudson on such a popular series when I was 10 years old, I would have wanted to be him.
Elizabeth Hudson
Rarriwuy Hick plays Elandra Hudson.
On February 26, 2023, Hick sent a confirmation of her casting to her social media.
The cat is out of the bag, she declared.

Harper
Jessica Redmayne plays Harper in the movie.
Redmayne is both an actress and a choreographer with experience in both theatrical and musical theatre.
She is most recognised for playing Poppy in the Seven television series 800 Words.
It is yet unknown if Harper will be police officer Cash’s new love interest or just a buddy.
Dana
Ally Harris will play the new character Dana. She will be appearing on the show, but no exact date for her arrival has been announced.
The two-part drama The Claremont Murders and the ABC series Harrow both featured actor Ally Harris.
Forrest
Elijah Williams plays Forrest in the film.
The only thing that is known for certain about the new character is that he will be returning to the show later this year.
Elijah has appeared on the show before, and in two episodes in 2018, he played a character by the name of Jason.
