Ryder Jackson and Theo Poulos of Home and Away will soon intensify their war for Chloe Anderson’s heart, embarking on a series of tasks against one another in an attempt to impress her.
Since arriving in Summer Bay to seek peace with his aunt Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou), troubled Theo (Matt Evans) has made no secret of his desire for Chloe (Sam Barrett). At his recent surprise birthday celebration, suspicious Ryder (Lukas Radovich) let his annoyance with Theo get the best of him, screaming out and becoming so inebriated that he had to be carried home.
Ryder got into a confrontation with the newcomer after being goaded by Theo the next day over reportedly spending the night with Ryder’s girlfriend. And when Ryder mistook Chloe and Theo for having slept together, Chloe was furious that Ryder would accuse her of doing so.
Despite the couple’s painful parting in front of Australian fans, Ryder is desperate to get his relationship with Chloe back on track, and according to TV Week, he is set to ramp up his campaign.
Rivals Ryder and Theo will compete in a series of online tasks in order to impress Chloe in subsequent scenes.
The first obstacle they face is a chili-eating contest, but Ryder fails miserably in this round. Theo seizes an opportunity to kiss Chloe after the difficult effort forces Ryder to vomit, putting Theo in the lead in the battle for Chloe’s affections.
This initial duel is a success, and the duo quickly moves on to a cocktail challenge. Ryder intends to exact his vengeance on Theo by concocting a drink with meat and oysters, then using superglue to secure Theo to his chair.
Theo, on the other hand, is adamant about not losing, so he downs the drink and comes up with a unique technique to get out of the chair he’s confined in, wiggling out of his trousers and finishing the challenge in his underwear.
Will either of the lads’ attempts impress Chloe, or will she conclude she’s better off without Ryder or Theo?
