While Nikau is washing the Polaris for John (Shane Withington), Theo goes up to the water and pretends that someone is struggling.

When Theo grabs the Polaris to use in one of his web films, Nikau realises it was all a scam and rushes to the ocean to help whoever is drowning.

Nikau is very regretful that he allowed himself to be duped in this way, and he fears that his first day will be his last.

Meanwhile, as the vehicle runs out of gas, Theo abandons it.

When the nefarious newcomer returns home, he is challenged by John and Justin Morgan (James Stewart), both of whom are outraged by his actions.

Theo gets punished by John by being forced to labour for free at the juice bar.

When Nikau sees Theo, he confronts him, accusing him of causing so much trouble, and the confrontation escalates into a brawl.

John needs to intervene to keep the two boys apart, and he’s especially furious with Nikau for fighting while wearing his lifesaver’s gear.

Nikau apologises and returns the uniform to John, assuming he has lost his job. When John agrees to give him another chance, he’s overjoyed, but is he still on slippery ground?
