Kirby Aramoana of Home and Away has sworn to leave Lyrik in the most recent Australian episodes of the show.
In the Wednesday, August 9 double-episode broadcast on Channel 7, Kirby discussed her major choice in light of a seductive solo offer she had received.
The gifted musician recently met in private with Forrest, a record company executive who only represents solo musicians.
Forrest proposed to sign Kirby to a lucrative contract in exchange for her leaving Lyrik to focus on a solo career.
The timing was perfect because Kirby was already considering leaving the band.
Due to difficulties between them brought on by Kirby’s breakup from lead singer Theo Poulos, working with Lyrik had been uncomfortable for her.
Kirby noted that she assumed the majority of the songwriting and publicity duties but received little appreciation from anyone, and she felt underappreciated by her bandmates.
When news of Kirby’s potential resignation reached Theo, Remi Carter, and Eden Fowler, they all had difficulty.
Remi and Eden opposed Kirby’s goals, but Theo adopted a more altruistic stance by praising her for doing what was best for her.
In the end, Kirby revealed that her time with Lyrik had come to an end when she went to see band manager Justin Morgan at his residence.
She said to him, “First of all, I just want to thank you for being such a great manager. Sincerely, it means the world to me and my music that you have faith in us.
“I have to act in my own best interests. Really, I’m sorry. Just as a courtesy, I wanted to let you know.
After making her choice, Kirby chose to spend a few days in the city, especially because Forrest was already eager to launch her individual career aspirations. She will undoubtedly have to deal with Lyrik whenever she returns, though.
Theo, who had heard Kirby and Justin’s chat from his bedroom, likewise needed to get his thoughts straight, so he made the decision to go visit his mother for a while.
Due to Kirby’s choice, Lyrik’s future is uncertain as the group must now decide whether to remain a trio or not.
Eden reacts to the news extremely poorly, which can put her friendship with Kirby in jeopardy.
In September, Channel 5 will air these moments for Home and Away viewers in the UK.
