With John Palmer and Irene Roberts getting closer on Home and Away the following week, there might be a new romance in Summer Bay.
John has been living with Irene since the explosion since his injuries have prevented him from being ready to live alone, according to his physicians.
While on a shopping trip, the two continue to get closer even though they are not aware that Marilyn is concerned about it.
The chemistry between them is seen by others in the Bay, and when Xander informs Mackenzie about their developing relationship, she is intrigued and decides to investigate John to learn more.
Mali, on the other hand, notifies the couple, and John and Irene are shocked to learn that the neighbourhood believes they are an item.
John tries to make things clear by telling everyone that they are simply friends, but Irene has a slightly different take and thinks love might be in the air.
Later this year, Jessica Redmayne and Ally Harris will make their soap opera debuts as sisters Harper and Dana, bringing two fresh faces to Summer Bay.
When asked about her time on the Home and Away set, Redmayne, who had previously worked on Neighbours, another Australian soap opera, said she felt “fortunate” to be a part of the show.
She remarked that “everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming.” “I’m incredibly lucky to work with such wonderful people, and it’s so simple to get to work every day.
“I remember the first day I walked onto the set of Lynne’s [McGranger] house, it was quite extraordinary — it’s like I was living that dream,” she continued.
