Ada Nicodemou, a seasoned actress, disclosed on Saturday that she discovered her love of acting at the age of 16 and has never looked back.
The 46-year-old Home and Away actress claimed that she realised acting was in her blood after taking part in a national talent hunt in 1993 in order to land a part on the well-known serial drama.
She told 7Entertainment, “I was a huge Home and Away fan, and they were holding a competition for a new character on the show.”
I was a precocious young child who believed, “Oh yeah, I could do that!” I attended the audition, then.
The Sydney native admitted that although she came very close to being cast on the venerable serial opera at the time, the procedure assisted her in finding an agent and landing a position on Ten’s Heartbreak High in 1994.
She had another audition with H&A producers a few years later, and this time she absolutely won them over.
In 2000, the brunette beauty was then cast in the part of Leah Patterson, and she has since been doing so.
Ada admitted earlier this month that despite having appeared on H&A for more than 20 years, she frequently doesn’t get the chance to watch the programme.
Ada revealed the embarrassing information during a recent live Instagram Q&A.
The single mother continued by saying that her 10-year-old son Johnas’s bedtime and Home and Away’s 7 o’clock time slot conflict.
If someone approaches me and asks me a question on a plot that I’m not involved in, I’m absolutely bad. Ada stated, “I struggle sometimes because I don’t get to see it as frequently as I’d like.
Ada sidestepped queries about whether her character Leah would eventually be married to her on-screen boyfriend Justin, played by the handsome James Stewart, in other parts of the interview.
