After Channel Seven revealed on Saturday that he was leaving Home and Away after less than a year on the show, Harley Bonner has broken his silence.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old actor came to Instagram to express his dissatisfaction with his leaving, stating he was’very delighted’ and thanking fans for their support.
He replied, ‘Thanks and love to you everybody,’ and added, ‘I’m extremely happy.’ It’s a good life. Continue to spread kindness.’
With a love-heart emoji, he ended his message.
It’s the first time Harley has spoken out since the network announced over the weekend that he won’t be returning to the show when production resumes later this year.
‘Channel Seven can confirm Harley will not return to Home and Away when filming resumes in the coming weeks,’ a Seven spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
‘Harley departs with our best wishes and heartfelt gratitude for his contributions to the show.’
Harley Bonner and his management have been contacted by the Daily Mail Australia for comment.
In August, Harley made his Home and Away debut as Dr. Logan Bennett, a handsome trauma surgeon.
Dr. Bennett was the love interest of Emily Weir’s character Mackenzie Booth, the owner of the Salt restaurant.
Harley is the son of actress Carla Bonner, who starred as Stephanie Scully on the Australian soap opera Neighbours from 1999 to 2010 and then again from 2015 to 2018.
He previously starred as Josh Willis on Channel 10’s soap opera from 2013 until 2016, when his character was killed off.
He has also appeared in House Husbands and True Story with Hamish and Andy, in addition to Neighbours and Home and Away.
After five years together, Harley proposed to his model girlfriend Natalie Roser in November.
