Cash phones Remi out of concern about Eden’s whereabouts, but the call ends up in voicemail. When the SES show up, Cash is questioned by Search & Rescue chief Sabrina about his unfortunate camping excursion. He acknowledges that the previous evening they had a fight, but they had worked it out.
Before long, a thorough search is underway, and Cash calls Flick to let her know. Cash is told by Felicity to focus on the search, and she will attempt to contact Remi because it’s possible that he and Eden are together.
Eden, bound by cable ties, watches her kidnappers quarrel and sobs silently. She is startled to hear Wes telling his brother to get rid of “the dead guy” before taking care of her. But when they reach the car’s boot to collect the body, they are both taken aback to hear Remi take a short breath—he’s still alive.
When Eden sees her friend, she rushes to him and, seeing that he is freezing, begs for a blanket right away. To the chagrin of his heartless older brother Wes, Mickey obliges. Eden seizes the chance to make an appeal to Mickey’s kindness when Wes leaves them by themselves a little while later. He releases her ties, but he refuses to take Remi to the hospital because Wes would never consent.
After Wes comes back, intending to permanently get rid of Eden and Remi, Mickey’s conscience gets the better of him and he finds the strength to confront his brother. Wes decides that Eden must stay, but Mickey can take him to the hospital because Remi has never seen them.
With tears in her eyes, Eden bids Remi farewell and puts her jewellery into his jacket pocket while Mickey and Wes fight over the misplaced car keys. Next, Mickey lets Remi down at the side of the road and phones for an ambulance while he is in the middle of nowhere.
Bree is shocked to learn that her boyfriend would be her next critical patient when she returns to the Bay. Will she be able to save Remi?
